TAALEEM SUCCESSFULLY ORGANIZED 3 JOB FEST IN CHANDIGARH / PUNJAB REGION Taaleem recently organised three job fest in first week of May 2010 to create a platform between available trained talent (trained by Taaleem) and corporate looking for fresh resource. Event was organized to provide platform to students from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh region, in colleges where Taaleem is providing training to students. It was not an easy job to start with where it was big challenge to convince companies to come down, spare couple of days, and come to an event where one never knows how many and what kind of candidates will turn up. It took lot of convincing and only at the fact that the candidates coming will be already trained by Taaleem, is where companies confirmed their presence. And some big brands did as well like HCL, Tata, Aditya Birla, Bharti, Kotak, HDFC, Coca Cola, Sigma, NIIT, Fullerton, Tech Mahindra, IBM Daksh, Quark, Indus Ind, Anand Group, etc showed up actively to hire from the events organised by Taaleem with more than 2000 jobs in offering. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm in the fresh candidates to crack interviews and ensure job from Campus. It was also quite touching to see the arrangements done by college management to welcome company hiring executives and take care of them by providing them wonderful hospitality as well as taking good care of candidates who came to be part of hiring process. Most of the companies praised the arrangements and support provided by students of the college during the Job Fest. As an organisation, Taaleem did it bit to get companies and candidates on one platform, where from three events more than 400 candidates were shortlisted. Few big take aways from these three events, students getting exposure to various companies and platform to showcase their strengths and getting job offer, colleges getting recognition among students & companies as well as start of association with many companies, companies getting vide spectrum of trained candidates to choose from. Taaleem also organised hiring event for Quark and Siemens for students of specific colleges, most of who are trained by Taaleem, to help these companies find the right talent for them. In both events both companies successfully hired candidates to their satisfaction. Though Taaleem being only a training organization, it takes the challenge of helping it\'s students getting placed and so far has been able to do it with good success.
